I bought this laptop on behalf of my mother who is, at 69, starting a course to learn how to use it!
She and I have been very impressed with this Acer model, which does everything she needs it to do and more besides. These laptops are a bargain.

Does exactly what it says on the tin coupled with a better screen and sound than expected.Bought for a demanding teenager and now the whole family want to use it.Clearly I am no boffin so perhaps there is something I am missing but from a value for money perspective this product surely cannot be beaten.

Great laptop for the price, no gripes. Also for any Linux fans out there we have it running Ubuntu (Jaunty) with full hardware support (except.. that the headphone socket doesn't work).

i wanted this computer for use with my HD sony videocamera i have found it to be more than equal for the tasks it has to perform why pay twice the price for a sony equivalent

Bought the Acer Aspire for my Daughter's 21st Birthday. It fulfills all her requirements. Good size screen, well laid out key board, easy to use. The 250GB HDD gives plenty space for her music, photographs, etc.
In all, good value for money.
