5 out of 5 stars Guinea pigs saving the world!   August 25, 2010

Absolutely love it. It is SO cute and funny and realistic made. Well I mean the animals are made realistic so far my guinea pigs still live in a cage.If you are a child or childlike like me you gotta love it

3 out of 5 stars ok, but nothing special   August 1, 2010

I found this movie ok, but certainly nothing special. I felt that though the guinea pigs and other animals were cleverly done, the film lacked lustre and was quite weak. Also, I hope children don't try dressing up their piggies and shutting them in a dolls house!
I guess children might like it, which obviously is the audience for which it is intended, but i wasn't that impressed.

3 out of 5 stars Fairly average.   July 1, 2010

There have been quite a few excellent kids' films released over the past few years, in fact over the last few decades, so G Force had a lot to live up to. Unfortunately it didn't quite make it.

I was actually under the mistaken impression that this was a completely CG movie. I hadn't seen any of the trailers and I guess I was somewhat unobservant when it came to the DVD case. Having the talking CG animals in a live action world is really what let this film down.

The guinee pigs themselves were adorable and well voiced, the mole was just gorgeous but too overshadowed by his sidekicks. The live actors were generally rubbish - about the usual standard of acting to be found in these kind of CG/Live films.

The music throughout was awful, rap and lady gaga and whatever all that other stuff was, and I would imagine such a soundtrack would apeal more to teenagers that it would to children.

But thankfully there were no double entendres, at least not that I can consciously recall, which is a welcome change. I've always considered the attempts at adding in jokes for the adults at the expense of the family friendly feel of a film to be a little unfair on the intended young audience.

So over all an average film that will adequately kill a bit of time but doesn't even come close to the best of it's kind.
