A digitally remastered DVD to record the final Morse transmissions from UK coast radio stations on 500 kc/s. A live recording, featuring the final messages from Portpatrick, Wick, Cullercoates, and Lands End radios, on 31 December 1997 at 23:48 GMT. Following a spoken introduction and brief history of the development of the marine distress and communication service on 500 kc/s, the remaining soundtrack is entirely in Morse Code. The DVD includes a transcript of the last Morse signals on 500 kc/s from UK coast stations. John Chappell, former Radio Officer at Lands End Radio (GLD), narrates this DVD.
